Thursday, September 9th Torma Making Workshop
$10/Free for Members and FP students
Tormas are traditional offerings custom-made for special events such as
empowerments, retreats, and chanted prayers. Representing an offering
of great bliss, tormas are conical in shape and can range from very
simple to exquisitely beautiful. This is a great, fun, hands-on
workshop for anyone who wishes to learn more about the traditional art
of torma making.
All the problems and difficulties we experience
in our daily life, as well
as, the obstacles to our spiritual practice arise from our negative
karma.
By receiving the empowerment of Vajrasattva and engaging in subsequent
practice we can swiftly eliminate all this negativity from our mind and
allow its natural purity to shine through. With a pure mind, we will
enter
into a world of purity.
"If a clear, blue sky becomes obscured by clouds, rain will fall.
Similarly,
if our minds are obscured by negative imprints, suffering and problems
will rain down upon us."
